The Amazing Thailand 9FilmFest invites filmmakers, student filmmakers and amateurs

to submit their films, for the opportunity to be screened at the second annualpre

Amazing Thailand 9FilmFest, which takes place on 17 June 2012.

All creative disciplines and genres including narrative, documentary, animation,

sci-fi, comedy and experimental are welcome.

All genres are acceptable to be one of the 9 Finalist films selected for the final

jury screening.

Founded in 2011, Amazing Thailand 9FilmFest is the first Bangkok film festival

to have entry requirements of films being 9 minutes or less from opening to

closing credits, require a signature item appear in the film

(2011 – 9Signature Item <9SI> was the number “9”,

the 2012 signature item <9SI>  is “Heart”. 

All films must make their premiere at Amazing Thailand 9FilmFest.

This year’s festival is proud to have a distinguished panel of judges

including Academy Award winner George Miller and Cannes Palme

d’Or winner Apichartpong Weerasethakul, who will decide which film will

win the Amazing Thailand Award of US $20,000.

“Our goal this year is to provide opportunities for everyone interested in sharing

their story, passion and creativity and be recognized for their work.  The talent

selected will earn cash prizes and world-wide recognition. “  says 

Bangkok’s 9FilmFest  founder Brian Bennett.  “We will feature some of

today’s most original and brightest cinema sent in from Thailand and

from around the world.
